public works

Installations, commissions and collaborations made between 2007 and now, the common thread is that the raw material was found rather than built.

On scale

“Scale is not content. You can look at something fairly small and project yourself into it. You don’t have to be overwhelmed by a sculpture. I found that very freeing.”

At the Crossroads

Whitened tumbleweeds hang from the ceiling, shoe soles track across the walls, and bone figures stand on the floor. The discontinuities between the parts are the point: it is from brokenness that we create new configurations and move forward with our lives.

Materials: Bones, tumbleweeds, automobile tire shards, shoe soles, plastic frogs, fortune cookies, silk panel with feathers.
